Maleny artist launches co-working space for creatives

Evelyn Joy: “I found the most beautiful space, with lots of light, high ceilings and a wonderful atmosphere.”

Maleny artist Evelyn Joy had a long held dream to create a co-working space for creatives, and in early February that dream was realised with the opening of The Joy Collective in Coral Street.

“I found the most beautiful space, with lots of light, high ceilings and a wonderful atmosphere,” Evelyn said.

“And I can’t wait to share it with creative, passionate, hard working small business owners like myself. Now it is just waiting for my tribe”.

The building boasts seven beautifully fitted out spaces. There are four private rooms and three shared spaces.

“We have a kitchen, a courtyard, workshop space and a gallery for artists to exhibit their work,” Evelyn explained. “The spaces are available for short term, long term or even day hire and it is the perfect venue to run creative workshops”.

“I think people who are creative often find that they are inspired by bouncing ideas off other people,” said Evelyn. “So much magic happens when people get together. It is my dream that The Joy Collective becomes a destination for artists and entrepreneurs alike”.

The Joy Collective is at 1/37 Coral Street, Maleny. To find out more, you can contact Evelyn on artbyevelynjoy@gmail.com or call 0493 223 118.
